• The reopening of the Théâtre de la Ville, one of the City’s major cultural venues, includes the refurbished main auditorium and other improvements, many of which will significantly increase the building’s efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint.
  • La Ferme Montsouris and Rue Watt, two new venues for circus and street arts production in the south of Paris, will rebalance the cultural offer in the city.
  • In line with the City’s 2018 Reading Strategy, many libraries have been renovated as ‘media libraries’ with new spaces dedicated to exhibition and artistic performance. The largest media library, named after the writer James Baldwin, will be an entirely new facility in the north of the city.
  • The Fiminco Foundation is a major centre for contemporary art on a former industrial zone in Romainville in eastern Paris. The building is a venue for artistic creation, residencies, exhibitions, training and conferences.
  • The Maison LVMH is planning to build a multidisciplinary cultural institution dedicated to artists, living heritage and crafts. It will be a place for exhibitions, artists’ studios, archives and events and located in the former Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions, in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne.
