## Project: transforming buildings into creative hubs

## **The Purpose**

The project’s goal is to transform the city’s network of cinemas into creative environments that place the viewer at the centre of cultural events. The Kyiv Cultural Cluster offers new opportunities for creative self-realization, spiritual enrichment and personal development. The Cluster envisions a multitude of events, bringing together creative industries across Kyiv.

## **The Challenge**

The project faces the challenge of reorganizing outdated cinemas into multifunctional spaces. These areas must be revitalized to become popular destinations for both work and leisure, necessitating significant renovations and investment.

## **The Solution**

The Cluster was established by reorganising outdated cinemas in Kyiv and creating multifunctional spaces on their premises. It will transform suburban areas into sought-after hubs for work and leisure, providing the necessary infrastructure for creative expression and the development of cultural products and services.

## **The Impact**

This cultural and educational platform offers artists freedom for self-expression, attracting young talent who now have a space to realize their potential. By creating job opportunities, the Cluster contributes to the city’s economy. Consequently, Kyiv’s former cinemas are evolving into thriving cultural institutions and focal points for the city’s active population and their innovative projects.
