• Set in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the East Bank is London’s newest cultural quarter. It is expected to bring an additional 1.5 million visitors to the park and surrounding area each year and generate more than 2,500 jobs and hundreds of apprenticeships, stimulating a £1.5 billion boost to the economy.
  • Launched in 2017, London Borough of Culture invests £1.35m to stage a year of ambitious cultural initiatives and to integrate culture in local boroughs across the city. Waltham Forest held the title in 2019, followed by Brent in 2020, Lewisham in 2022 and Croydon in 2023.
  • The Commission for Diversity in the Public Realm was established in 2020 to tell a fuller story of British and specifically London’s history. To make sure the city’s narrative and cultural infrastructure is inclusive, fair and represents all communities and the role they have played in shaping the city.
  • The Museum of London will be relocating to West Smithfield, a beautiful building dripping with heritage that housed London’s former meat market . The new museum will reinvent what it means to be a city museum in the 21st century, doubling visitor numbers and become a landmark international visitor attraction in the hyper connected Farringdon area.
