Cultural Assets Inventory

Hong Kong is rich in intangible cultural heritage (ICH) and the City has devised its first formal inventory of these assets, listing 480 items. The Government attaches great importance to preserving ICH and is seeking to raise community awareness of this cultural resource.

Cultural Cooperation

Hong Kong brings together Chinese and Western cultures. Since 2017, Hong Kong has signed 14 agreements on cultural co-operation with mainland China and has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cultural Cooperation with five countries and two overseas museums.

Embracing Technology

The application of technology has extended the horizon of creativity in arts and brought new opportunities for the arts and creative industries. The HKSAR has set up an interdepartmental Task Force on Arts Technology to support its development.
