
- The City of Helsinki and the Finnish state are leading a project to establish a new Museum of Architecture and Design on Helsinki’s waterfront.
- Oodi Helsinki opened in 2018 and has become the City’s flagship central library and an anchor institution in the centre of the city.
- Dance House Helsinki opened in 2022, thanks to philanthropic and public money, providing a dedicated new performance venue for dance. With a newly built space, Erkko Hall, seating up to 700 people and a second space, Pannu Hall, accommodating 235 people.
- The nature conservation island Vallisaari just outside Helsinki is the site of the Helsinki Biennial art event, which debuted in 2021 and continued in 2023.
