- The new Museo della Resistenza (Museum of The Resistance) will offer visitors an updated and complex story of the Resistance in the wider European context. This in turn is aimed to stimulate debate around conscious citizenship, national identity and democracy.
- The Museo dell’Arte Digitale (Museum of Digital Arts) will be the first public museum of its kind in Italy. Dedicated to the production and presentation of digital content, it will play a strategic role in the contemporary cultural scene as it becomes increasingly digitised, connected and globalised. It will represent the evolution of ideas about what a museum is, and how cultural offers reach the public.
- The Museo del Novecento (Museum of the Twentieth Century) will double in size through a major capital project which will create a new building and connect existing ones, as well as creating a walkway with a new panoramic view over the Piazza del Duomo.
- Biblioteca Europea di Informazione e Cultura (BEIC) (European Library of Information and Culture), is planned as a large multimedia public library offering culture and art and meeting the educational needs of the 21st century. The Foundation which runs BEIC has existed since 2004, but to date it exists only as an online presence.
