• West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD) covers 40 hectares, and blends together arts, education, open space, office and residential developments and retail, dining and entertainment facilities. With major museums and several world-class performing venues, it will be one of the world’s largest cultural quarters.
  • The Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM), is a collaborative cultural project between West Kowloon Cultural District Authority and the Palace Museum (PM) in Beijing, that opened in West Kowloon Cultural District in 2022.
  • The Lyric Theatre Complex in WKCD is targeted for completion in 2025, offering a major performance venue for dance and theatre.
  • East Kowloon Cultural Centre (EKCC), a performing arts complex, is set to open in phases from the end of 2023 to the beginning of 2024.
  • A new testbed, The Lab, will be set up in EKCC as an incubator for the development of arts tech in Hong Kong.
  • The M+ Museum opened in WKCD in November 2021, showcasing contemporary visual culture.
