- [Infrastructure](https://worldcitiescultureforum.com/wp-content/uploads/wp-mfa-exports/city/nairobi/infrastructure.md) — The proposed Kaloleni Cultural Village in Nairobi is intended as a multicultural facility supporting creative practice, community gatherings and the interpretation of local history. It would expand access to cultural infrastructure in Nairobi's Eastlands area, while building on Kaloleni's distinctive social and cultural identity. The project is currently at the planning stage.

- [Nairobi](https://worldcitiescultureforum.com/wp-content/uploads/wp-mfa-exports/city/nairobi.md) — Nairobi City County is increasingly recognising the city's culture not only through public events and heritage protection, but as a key resource for urban development and civic life. The County has recently strengthened its focus on creative livelihoods and access to cultural participation. Cultural mapping across the city's sub-counties is documenting both formal institutions and the less visible places where culture happens - studios, social halls, markets, places of worship, recreational spaces, community media and neighbourhood gathering places. This evidence is informing the development of the Nairobi City County Culture and Arts Policy, and creating stronger connections between culture, tourism, public space, neighbourhood development and urban planning.
- [Dakar, Johannesburg and Nairobi join World Cities Culture Forum](https://worldcitiescultureforum.com/wp-content/uploads/wp-mfa-exports/post/dakar-johannesburg-and-nairobi-join-world-cities-culture-forum.md) — With support from UNESCO's International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD), World Cities Culture Forum will work with city governments in Dakar, Johannesburg and Nairobi to strengthen data-driven policymaking for culture and the creative industries in the region. World Cities Culture Forum is the only international NGO to receive a grant in the 2026 UNESCO IFCD round, and the only selected project working across several countries.
