- [How Jakarta expanded the legacy of its 50-year-old youth theatre festival](https://worldcitiescultureforum.com/city-project/canal-theatre-programme-jakarta/?output_format=md) — Jakarta’s Canal programme builds on the 50-year legacy of the Jakarta Theatre Festival by offering non-competitive, experimental theatre opportunities to actors over 40. As part of the city’s inclusive cultural policy, Canal enables mature performers to explore creative expression while fostering exchange with actors from across Indonesia. The programme sustains long-term engagement in the performing arts and supports a more inclusive, age-diverse cultural landscape.
