## Developing Public Spaces

Montréal is continuing to invest in year round outdoor cultural and festival programming through the development and renovation of public spaces. There is a particular focus on Montréal’s status as a northern city and promoting opportunities to enjoy winter events.

## Cultural Reconciliation

Montréal is intensely focused on cultural reconciliation with indigenous and diverse communities through examining public art and monuments in the city.

## Addressing Climate Crisis

Culture is an important element of Montréal’s efforts to address the climate crisis with its 2030 Climate Plan and aim for carbon neutrality by 2050. A new art and environment programme aims to raise awareness among citizens.

## Culture For All

Montréal is committed to expanding cultural participation, accessibility, and democratisation. This includes a commitment by Montréal’s public libraries to universal accessibility, with adapted facilities, collections and equipment.
